Grounding Your Mindfulness Practice In Ego Stage Development
A Continuing Course for Experienced Meditators
There comes a point in every committed practice where we are invited—not to rise higher, but to root deeper.
This continuing course is offered for those who’ve already begun to cultivate stillness, clarity, and presence, and now feel the subtle pull toward something more grounded, more relational, and more alive. Here, mindfulness becomes more than a technique—it becomes a way of being rooted in our body, in our relationships, and in the living field of the Earth itself.
Drawing from the philosophy of The Rooted Lotus, we will explore how mindfulness, when grounded, opens the conditions for vertical development of ego maturity: the slow, unfolding capacity to hold more complexity, embody more presence, and live from deeper sources of meaning and care. As our awareness grows, so too does our rootedness—into the soil of this life, the relational field of others, and the vitality of our home planet.
This is not a course about perfecting technique. It is an invitation to ground your existing practice in what is already here. To descend, with awareness, into the root system of your own unfolding.
This continuing course will be facilitated by Dixon de Leña , General Partner, a 40+ year executive guide/advisor, a certified mindfulness teacher, and a veteran researcher in the field of applied adult development, specifically ego maturity through both conventional and Post-conventional stages. The course involves light reading, written assignments, and journaling.
We are integrating awareness with vertical adult development theory and practices, so we will offer our AI-assisted model, self-administered online assessment tool, with a human debrief session, that accurately marks stage development, and providing a precision track of recommended practices to advance ego maturity. Should you decide to opt for this service, your track will be integrated in our inquiries, practices, and should you desire, small salon-size affinity groups. There is a fee for this add-on assessment.
The design of this course is in preparation, with first session target start date April 25, 2026. Held twice-monthly 90-minute sessions over 6 months, offered onsite and via Zoom.
