Our History and Founding Partners
In 1999, Dixon de Leña, Dr. Paul H. Ray, Sherry Anderson, Mark Gerzon, Bob Stilger and Maurice Zilber founded Integral Partnerships LLC. Dr. Ray’s breakthrough market research discovered an emerging subculture of 50 Million American adults living, consuming and voting from a unique set of transformational values. These “Cultural Creatives”, as Ray called them, were our inspiration to help integrate Business, Planet and Society. Armed with our skills and experience as veteran change agents and with Ray’s market data, we set out to convince leaders in business, government and civil society that sustainable living was not only possible, there was a demand for it! For the next 10 years, we shared the research data with interested leaders of business, finance, political parties, governments and social movement groups in North and South America, Europe, China, Korea and Japan.
By 2010, after many of the founding partners retired or moved on to other projects and Dixon de Leña took over as CEO. He declared the new focus and mission of Integral Partnerships is to make empowerment possible through the creation of integral partnerships across our global community before the end of this century.
If you’re curious whether you’re a Cultural Creative you can find the questionnaire here.
The Cultural Creatives research data helped in the formulation of the LOHAS industry association, now a global movement for organics, natural lifestyle, alternative health and sustainability.
